File open dialogue shown when running sparkle update
Hello,
the notification about the availability of a new built is not
working.
I'd suggest to add a new option, to allow the search for new betas
and/or nightly builds.
cheers

Hi quwax,
could you explain in detail what doesn't seem to work, or how you're trying to perform the check?
We've just released beta 2 and the update seem to be found and installed correctly.
Thanks.

Hi Luke,
that referred to the first beta, with the built 790 it works.
Some things looked a bit strange anyway:
- a file open dialog appeared and it looked to me that it came from the installer (although I might have applied some strange magic to my box :-D ) - the installer is not quitting after the update is done. - the autosearch function seams to run only on start up of mail (this seams to be a general problem with plugins) cheers

Hi Quwax,
aah ok. The file open dialog is quite is a tricky one to solve.
For some reason, the installer gets confused if a GPGMail.dmg is mounted at the same time when you're trying to run an update and shows the dialog.
If no GPGMail.dmg is mounted, the update goes through as usual.
The auto-update check should be performed once a day.

This problem should not happen in a lot of cases. Normal usage should not trigger this. It's somewhat ugly nonetheless.
All the best,
steve
