Issue with Replying to Email
Which of our tools is giving you problems? GPGMail
Attach a screenshot of the version info for all installed components (how to: https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/faq/where-can-i-find-version-info...):
Describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible. A colleague and I both use the current beta of version of GPGSuite. We both run MacOS 10.12.4. We can send each other encrypted emails. If either of us reply to an email, one of 2 things happen. Either the reply is in plaintext or it is encrypted and cannot be decrypted at the other end. In my case, when I reply to a message, the encryption icon is disabled - so I can sign the reply but not encrypt it. Replies I get from my colleague are encrypted but unsigned. I cannot decrypt the message - which I guess may be something to do with the fact that it is unsigned. We have both signed each other's public keys.
What did you expect instead I would expect that it is possible to encrypt replies in an email conversation. It would be good if that was the default - but at the moment, it doesn't even look like an option.
Describe steps leading to the problem.
Send colleague an encrypted email that is received and unencrypted with no issues. Colleague uses the reply function to my email and I get back an unsigned encrypted email I cannot open. If I reply to one of his encrypted emails, he gets a signed email in plaintext and I have no encrypt option as the icon is disabled.

Hey edmoxon,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
Where you able to solve the problem? Do you want to share the solution?
All the best,

Hi Steve
Turned not to be a problem with GPGSuite, so I closed the ticket. It seems
that the mail service being used by my colleague was stripping out some
element of his replies - we think it was the signature, so at my end I got
an unsigned encrypted email. When he used another service, all worked
fine. In both directions.
It has taken us all afternoon but we got there in the end. Happy to share
the solution if you think it will help others but as I say, not actually a
GPGSuite issue in of itself.

Could it be that there is an exchange server involved in the account causing the headaches?
If so, could you please download and install our latest GPG Suite nightly build and see if the problem persists. That page also has sig and SHA256 to verify the download.
All the best,
steve
