If I get an email ( non encrypted ), but with encrypted attachments, Apple Mail is unable to save the attachments to disk.

These files looks like this: screenshot.jpg.pgp

It is also not possible to open these files by double clicking to decrypt them with the gpgtool chain.

Expected
I would expect to be able to save these files or open them directly with the gpgtool chain .

    Hey Ralf,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

We have a ticket for this problem. I connected this discussion with the existing ticket. That means, should this discussion get closed, it will be re-opened as soon as the ticket is closed. That way you'll stay in the loop and get notified as soon as we have news. Feel free to open a new discussions should you run into further problems or need assistance.

    Workaround

    • drag the attachment file to your desktop
    • you will seea file with filename.xxx
    • select that file and press ⌘I and add '.gpg' to the current filename.xxx so that you now have filename.xxx.gpg
    • press enter to confirm your change, close the info panel and then rightclick filename.xxx.gpg and select Services > OpenPGP: Decrypt file

Let me know if the workaround did the trick.

    All the best,
    steve
