GPG keychain does not - always - work in Yosemite (MacGPG2 #141 FIXED)

After updating to Yosemite on an iMac from 2007 and installing PGPtools the gpgkeychain was empty. When I installed it last week on a Macbook, gpgkeychain still had the data of the previous version.

GPGmail was updated to the latest version.

GPGkeychain on the iMac:
- I cannot install a new key through the lookup function. The key is found but the window after the import is empty. - I cannot import the keys I had backed up on a Macbook. I get two different error messages: - missing self signature - import failed, non PGP data ( I had backed up the data 5 minutes earlier)

Ken, from what I see, we are looking at two separate issues. Would you please create a new separate discussion for the issue you are seeing. That is the best case to get your problem fixed quickly.

Even should your problem be the same, we can then connect it to the same ticket and send you potential quick fix versions much easier.

    thanks for understanding, steve

    Macintosh-2:~ luc$ rm /usr/local/MacGPG2
    rm: /usr/local/MacGPG2: is a directory
    Macintosh-2:~ luc$ gpg --list-keys
    Illegal instruction: 4
    Macintosh-2:~ luc$

I have to go, further help will be for tomorrow!

    Hi Luc,

sorry, but would you have a few minutes still now to try another thing.
If this works I have a better idea of what to fix.

    Hi Luc,

I think I have a working version now.
If you have time now, we could try it otherwise tomorrow :)

    Hi everybody,

this issue is fixed. Please download and install the MacGPG2 nightly from and see if that fixes the problem.

    All the best, steve
