GPGMail beta expired, no new version available
GPGMail keeps quitting Mail.app for me with a message about the beta being expired. There is no new beta. There is no final version. There is no option to pay. According to the announcement, the beta has been out for less than a week. This is really annoying. If you really want to put expiration into a beta, test it a bit more thoroughly next time.

The servers are indeed back up and running; the update came down at 2.5M/s for me. But beta 4 is non-functional. When will a working update be released?

After repeated fails, beta 4 downloaded and installed. However, it was non-functional. Repeats, gave the same result. Frustrating.

Is anyone else working on building a non-expiring version of GPGTools? I'm all for supporting people who work on free software, but practically speaking this has caused more disruption for me than all of the DRM on all of the devices I own. If I can track down where in the code the expiration happens I will gladly post a modified installer.

Hey, beta4 again only works if you download the package manually here, then uninstall the GPG suite and make a completely new install afterwards.
The update mechanism is still broken (downloads, installs and invalidates the package so it’s useless).
Please guys, make this working again. You’re frustrating not only beta testers (which probably are many many normal users), you’re preventing people from being able to use PGP for their emails.
I’m happy to pay you monthly and I have already donated money to you so don’t be so foolish and lock out your user base already during beta.

For those of you with questions,
I had an automated download so figured cool !
Then another auto update minutes later since I have ticked download automatic for all the GPG components.
just for fun went to https://gpgtools.org and saw a new Beta 4 release notice so I downloaded the dmg.
downloaded the signature file
downloaded the new key
imported the updated key
validated the dmg file --> checked out fine !
sent an email to myself and you can see its encrypted from my screen grab
all GPG components, services, preference panes, mail seem ok
Just watched CITIZENFOUR at Maui Arts and Cultural Center, best movie of 2014 !
Aloha & stay secure

Hi Anselm,
I, too, had to install / download it twice. But it works. Seems to be an awkward issue with Apple Mail Plugin Cache...
In case you're still getting errors when downloading please try clearing your browser cache.

Following various suggestions above, I deleted gpgmail.app, deleted all previous attempted downloads, cleared the cache on my browser, used Firefox instead of Safari, downloaded the gpg suite installer, ran a new installation, turned everything on in both locations in System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services, and sacrificed a small, furry animal. This seems to have worked. Test emails sent and received and files signed, verified, encrypted, and decrypted. Contextual menus still seem a bit wonky, but there seems to be a way to do everything.
Now waiting to see what happens when this beta expires.

Hi all,
we will do all we can to prevent another expire error.
To experience a smooth update this time around: Please download the GPG Suite b4 from our homepage and do not take the route via GPGPreferences to update.
