GPG Keychain: Upload doesn't work
I've just tried uploading my public key to the servers in Preferences, but I get code = 219.
Attached is a screenshot.
I have tried changing the key server in preferences to try another, but I get the message "Bad Key Server" with the following text:
---start---
The key server you have entered is not working.
Please check the key server address. It should look something like: hkp://some.key.server.org
The key server could also be offline. In that case, please use another key server.
---end---
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be an issue?
Thanks!

Hi Ollie,
unfortunately there are a variety of reasons why a key upload can fail.
Is there any chance that you are using Little Snitch or any other firewall on your Mac? If so, please temporarily disable that software and repeat the upload of your public key.
We just tested the key servers and were able to upload a public key using the sks hkps key server address.
Could you open System Preferences > GPG Suite, tick the option to get beta updates and update to GPG Suite 2019.1b1.
Then re-try. Does the problem persist?
All the best,
Steve

Hi Steve
Iām only using the Mac OSX built in firewall on MacOS Mojave version 10.14.5 (18F132) and it fails to update the online server whether this is on or off.
When I try this again, I get the error Code 32810 (see below screenshot):
However after upgrading to the 2019 1b1 you mention below, the upload works perfectly.
If you need any further information from me to try to resolve this issue for the stable release you need only ask, thank you for your help and support!
All the best,
ā

Hi Ollie,
thanks so much for the detailed feedback. We changed a few things around how GPG Keychain interacts with key servers in 2019.1b1. Good to hear that those changes do work out for you.
I'm closing this discussion. Should you need further assistance or have questions you can re-open this discussion here or open a new one any time.
