<p>assuming you did import them using GPG Keychain Access you
should<br>
see your keys appearing there. Unfortunately at the moment the
window isn't really human readable.<br>
If you can't see them in there, please try to import them using
Terminal.app<br>
to get more info on why the import failed.</p>
<p>Type the following command in Terminal.app and press enter:</p>
<p>gpg2 --import path/to/file</p>
<p>Please post the output so we can check it for errors.</p>
<p>Hope that helps</p></div>Luke Letag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/139906042012-02-26T00:40:13Z2012-02-26T00:40:13ZMigrating from PGP to GPG -> import private key<div><p>Using terminal worked! Once I entered the data, I received a

announces a preferred PGP "algorithm 1" a.k.a. IDEA. GnuPG has not
supported IDEA because of a covering patent—although the
patent is probably expired as of this year.</p>
<p>Anyway, gpg advises what to do: "it is strongly suggested that
you update your preferences" (which you did) "and re-distribute
this key to avoid potential algorithm mismatch problems."</p>
<p>If you think there is a chance that you will receive important
encrypted content from someone who will have used your announced
IDEA preference, then you should proactively redistribute the key.
The easier way is to just wait and see if you get any problematic
content and then to give the person your updated key.</p></div>cfrairetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/139906042012-02-29T04:55:54Z2012-02-29T04:55:54ZMigrating from PGP to GPG -> import private key<div><p>Hi Todd,</p>
