securing my emails. However the tutorials on install, setup and
usage I have been following seem to have overlooked something. To
install the GPGtools it was said to install them from the .dmg file
like any other application. However the .dmg file unzipped into a
.mpkg. I still dragged it into 'Applications' like I would any
other install. Thought that was all I needed to do?</p>
<p>When I have started enigmail to create a key pair it has told me
"unable to locate GnuPG executable in PATH". When I have looked in
the OpenPGP preferences, Under Files and Directories, "could not
find GnuPG"</p>
<p>I wanted to use the 'Override with' feature... However when I
browse, I am asked to select a single file, and unfortunately [this
is where I am actually stuck] I do not know which file to select,
or if I should be selecting any file, as there a SO many inside the
GPGtools.mpkg folder.</p>
<p>I have been trying to read through some more intense
troubleshooting, where people start talking about coding and stuff,
and I get lost. However I have noticed a couple of them say that
there are other things I need to have installed to accompany the
GPGTools? Not sure what to do! HELP?!</p>
<p>Cheers,<br>

<p>first off: this whole topic of encryption is rather complex. We
try to make it as easy for the user as possible. To get a better
basic understanding of how things please take the time to read our
Quickstart Tutorial here: <a href=

<p>From what you write it sounds like GPG is not installed on your
system. Please make sure to re-run the latest installer from here:
<a href=
"http://www.gpgtools.org/installer/index.html">http://www.gpgtools.org/installer/index.html</a></p>
<p>IMPORTANT: To install, don't drag the GPGTools .mpkg anywhere.
You need to double click that and an installer will be mounted that
guides you through the process.</p>
<p>Hope this helps :)</p>
<p>All the best,<br>
