if I compose a message and the server is not reachable when trying to send it, the message will be queued to the outbox. The message is encrypted to myself, as I have the option to encrypt drafts enabled. Once the server becomes reachable again, Mail will send the message, which is still encrypt to myself. So nobody other than myself can actually read the message, which is bad. Especially if you send something to a mailing list.

I'm using GPGMail 3.0b7 (Build 1319b) with Mail 11.5 (3445.9.1).

It looks like this might be a regression from

    Hi Maximilian,

we are very sorry you are experiencing problems with GPG Suite.
We have heard of this bug before, but were never able to reproduce it ourselves, so this is very valuable information you are sharing.
Could you elaborate on what exactly happens when the server is not reachable in your case? Usually a dialog comes up which gives you a variety of options, pick a different SMTP server etc. What do you do then, before the problem you are describing occurs?

Thanks for helping us finally make sense of this bug.

P.S.: Falls du Deutsch bevorzugst, können wir auch gern auf deutsch weiterschreiben.

The connectivity problems are caused by random (but frequent) authentication failures. Although I have no idea why they happen. A password input dialogue appears, providing the password does not succeed. The mail is stored inside the outbox. If I try to connect to the server a few minutes later, the connection is established and the mail from the outbox is sent as is (encrypted to myself).

Ah ok. Do you press cancel after some attempts of entering the password and having the password rejected, and after pressing cancel the message is stored in the outbox?
