    Hi Arthur,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

In which situation are you seeing the pinentry requests for your password? While working on a draft or when selecting an encrypted message?

Please see this KB-article on how to manage passwords for your keys. You could use the store in macOS keychain option to get rid of the password requests.

We have an open ticket for the situation when pinentry asks for the password while users are working on a draft. I connected this discussion with the existing ticket. That means, should this discussion get closed, it will be re-opened as soon as the ticket is closed. That way you'll stay in the loop and get notified as soon as we have news. Feel free to open a new discussions should you run into further problems or need assistance.

    All the best,
    steve

OK, was the KB helpful in finding a solution? Both setting up a caching time as well as storing the password in macOS keychain would serve as workarounds for the time being.

Another option could be to disable draft encryption in Mail.app > Preferences > GPGMail. Note that in case you are storing your drafts on the server of your email provider, those drafts are then stored in unencrypted form even when you are sending an encrypted message.
