I installed the GPGTools and GPGMail and it doesn't show any of the encryption tools as in your video screenshot. I uninstalled and reinstalled and although there is a preference pane, it doesn't show anything when creating a new email. Any ideas?

    Hi,

The buttons shown in the screencast are only displayed if you have GPG keys which match your email addresses.
Could you check if you have at least one key that matches an address of yours?

If you first have to create a key, simply launch GPG Keychain Access and create one.

After that, relaunch GPGMail and you should be good & ready to go.

    Hope that helps

I updated and created a new key. When I open Mail I get a simple encrypt/don't encrypt button. Is that the new interface?

Yes, that's all there is ;)
See http://www.gpgtools.org/gpgmail/index.html for some screenshots. And those options are only available if you have a key that matches the mail address that you're writing to.

Closing this, feel free to re-open if you need further assistance.

Since this was a complete rewrite of the plugin which was required to make it run under Lion we wanted to make it much more accessible and removed a lot of options we thought weren't used much.

If you miss any features please open a ticket on http://gpgtools.lighthouseapp.com/projects/65764-gpgmail/overview

Over time everything what our users feel is missing we'll be happy to re-add.

Also consider this is still an alpha and there are a lot of tweaks we're still working on.

    Have fun
