GPG Keychain: newbie here

Id like to know why do I see gpgtools team listed on my gpg keychain? Does that mean they are able to go through all my mails????

    Hi Josh,

    welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

    Thanks for asking. "Does that mean they are able to go through all my mails?" The answer is no. I doubt anybody would be using GPG Suite if that were the case.

    The entry for GPGTools, which you see in GPG Keychain, is our public key. You can use that public key to send us a test message. Having the public key of the recipient is a requirement for that and since as a new user you may not yet have a ton of friends also using OpenPGP, yet so feel free to shoot us an encrypted and signed test message to test your setup.

    To learn more about setting up GPG Suite our Getting Started Tutorial is the best starting point.

    This KB-article explains the basics of public key cryptography. It's a long text but worth the time.

    I am deleting gpg suite because ii couldn’t send out any emails successfully. What the world it did to my email

    This KB-article explains how to uninstall GPGTools.

    So have you tried following our getting started guide? if you provide more detail (ideally a few screenshots) as to what is not working for you, we will help you, get your setup right.
