welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Could you please create a new test user account on your mac and setup GPG Suite. Then create a test key (name and email can be anything). Don't upload the test key to the key servers.

Then open TextEdit and encrypt + decrypt some random text snippet. Try to store your OpenPGP password for the test key in macOS keychain.

Repeat the TextEdit process. Are you again asked for your OpenPGP password?

Best,

All the best, steve

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/448514832019-05-15T23:50:02Z2019-05-15T23:50:02ZGPG Keychain: MacOS not saving passphrase

Hi Ignacio,

you are probably no longer experiencing this problem, but if it should re-occur the solution is to lock and unlock your login keychain, easiest to do via logout or restart.
The issue you are seeing is a bug in macOS Mojave which we have filed with Apple and are waiting for their response.

Luke Le
