this is indeed very curious, since that error should have been fixed in 2017.3 and there should be nothing in the nightly that would further add fixes for this bug.

Would it be possible for you to re-install 2017.3 again and check if the error returns?
In that case it would be great if we could ask you for some debug info after that.

Thanks!

Luke Letag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/445241662018-01-18T05:30:02Z2018-01-18T05:30:02Zgpg: signing failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device

Re-installation works. No idea why. Do you still need the debug info or whatever?

franklinyutag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/445241662018-01-18T09:58:16Z2018-01-18T09:58:16Zgpg: signing failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device

So you are now on 2017.3 and can use it as expected without running into the signing failed error?

If that is the case, while it is fairly obscure, I'd say please closely observe how this behaves in the coming days and keep us posted if you see any further errors.

Best,
