welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Is this issue persisting for you?

Are you using any Firewall / Blocking software? If, so can you try to temporarily disable it and see if that changes anything.

Are you maybe behind a company firewall?

Can you again try with the default key server and see how that behaves:

It seems my firewall was blocking the connection for some reason - maybe I overlooked the alert and it went into blocking by default. Whatever it was, I was able to unblock. Thanks for your support!

It would be cool if you could consider to install rules for Little Snitch and Little Flocker with the installer. I have seen some other security related tools do that. Alternatively, maybe just display a message that internet access requests will be coming from “dirmngr” on port 443. I believe people who use gpg might also frequently be users of other security enhancement tools.

Many thanks and regards,

Good to hear, you where able to adjust the blocking. The new Little Snitch requests you were seeing are due to the migration from GnuPG 2.0.x to 2.2.x.

We will take your suggestions into consideration.

I'm closing this discussion. Should you need further assistance or have questions you can re-open this discussion here or open a new one any time.
