Is there a way to password protect the gpgtools app at all? I don't like the fact that all my keys are available to anyone who happens to open the app. It would be really great if there was a way to somehow password protect my whole keychain so that others cant see all of my imported public keys / export my private key!

    Hi thefakeryan,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

We already have an open feature request to add password protection to GPG Keychain and I've added your comments and vote to it. The number of votes is one factor that helps us to determine what feature to add next.

This discussion will be updated however, when the requested feature is available.

Note though that in order to export a secret key from GPG Keychain, since GPG Suite 2017.1 the password for that key will be be requested.

For the time being you could consider setting up a screensaver with password on your mac to ensure no one in the environment around your mac will be able to access it when you are away.

    Have a nice day,
    steve
