(no, working as expected)

Hi C,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Can you elaborate in greater detail what you are trying to do and what you think is not working as expected.

All the best,
(no, working as expected)

Thank you! I was not trying to do anything in particular, but just purchased new Mac and began having issues. I found some suspicious activity and files in my Cache, as well as settings I cannot change. Apple is aware of the issue(s) but has been of little help in alleviating them. That is how I discovered this file, along with another file which appears to "-kill all listeners."

These apps (pic included) appear to have been shared somehow, although I don't even know how to do that and certainly did not set them to do so. Further, I don't even have Bluetooth, nor do I use Messaging. No idea if it's related, but it's what lead me to finding these GPG files. Another is some kind of script appearing in AppStore cache called "Production Bag."

Thanks!

Christag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/425662892017-05-22T13:18:10Z2017-05-22T13:18:10ZIs there something wrong with the GPG-Agent Killer Log? (no, working as expected)

OK, thanks for the additional detail.

The log you posted in your initial post shows that gpg agent is behaving as expected. Everything is fine in that regard.

The extensions system preferences pane is not GPG Suite related. I took a brief look at that on my system. And since I didn't change anything in that regard, it seems a few apps are on by default.

From what I understand, this settings is related to the options in the share menu you get in various places in macOS. So nothing stealthy is going on.

But feel free to double check with Apple on that matter.

All the best,
(no, working as expected)

Thank you kindly! The mail app "sharing" may have to do with IMAP, now that I think about it. Apple discussion forums show several people with questions regarding the iTunes login, yet no answer from them on that. Most of this came up due to issues connecting through VPN, installed after finding "ghost network" running laptop on LAN as wi-fi hotspot under "Hidden Network."

Thanks again!

Christag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/425662892017-05-22T14:30:16Z2017-05-22T14:30:16ZIs there something wrong with the GPG-Agent Killer Log? (no, working as expected)

OK, good luck with your further investigations.

You may want to ring apple care support, to talk directly to apple. Afaik, Apple is not actively engaging in the discussions platform. So that platform is great for investigating and sharing experiences and often solutions are shared and found, but in some cases it's best to contact apple directly.

I'm closing this discussion. Should you need further assistance or have questions you can re-open this discussion here or open a new one any time.

Best, steve

Steve
