Seems to be some sort of autosave. I
noticed in a recent test thread that only a portion of my message
was visible in Gmail. The response I had written appeared truncated
in my Trash folder in Gmail, but the full message made it to the
recipient encrypted.

Steventag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/243937552013-01-30T23:16:59Z2013-01-30T23:17:00ZGMail showing unencrypted e-mails

The issue isn't really an issue, it seems. By enabling "Store
message drafts on server" in the Mailbox Behavior pane of
Preferences, my configuration made it so Mail.app would auto-save
every N seconds, placing the draft in my Trash folder and markig it
as sent. I'm not sure if the particular folder drafts are saved in
can be changed (I haven't looked).

I haven't looked through the documentation yet, so forgive me if
this is in there, but it might be worth noting this to users. I was
having a somewhat private conversation and all for nothing, because
my e-mails were stored in plaintext in my Trash bin on Google's
servers.

So, there's no software at fault here, I probably should have
done more thorough testing.

Steventag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/243937552013-02-15T14:00:35Z2013-02-15T14:00:35ZGMail showing unencrypted e-mails

Glad you got this fixed. Please open a new discussion anytime
should you run into further problems.
