obviously pinentry seems to be missing on your system. That can
have various reasons. Could you simply try downloading GPG Keychain
Access from our nightly
page and re-installing that? It brings with it pinentry.

Let us know if that fixes your problem.

downloaded and installed the dmg — now have new version of
gpg keychaing access (looked at timestamp in finder).

restarted mail.

I still get pinentry errors.

I then searched the disk for pinentry and found two copies both
deeply buried under /opt/local/var/macports ??

where should it be?

please remove any pinentry directories or binaries you find in
/opt/local/var/macports.

Since we also include that in our search paths to be compatible
with MacPort, fink and homebrew installations, that could be the
reason why it doesn't work.

Luke Letag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/239534482013-01-23T18:28:15Z2013-01-23T18:28:15ZGPGMail now get pinentry error??

will do!

Russell Fultontag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/239534482013-01-23T18:49:09Z2013-01-23T18:49:09ZGPGMail now get pinentry error??

Let us know how it goes...

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/239534482013-02-15T17:06:40Z2013-02-15T17:06:40ZGPGMail now get pinentry error??

No further user feedback.
