My recipients receives empty messages
Hi everyone,
GPGTools works fine between users using Mail in my case.
Some customers of mine uses The Bat! (on PC) and they receive empty
messages when cryted!
Any ideas about this issue ?
Thanks for your help,

Hi Sébastien,
there's a pretty good chance that they have versions of The Bat! installed which don't support PGP/MIME yet, which is a standardized method to send OpenPGP encrypted/signed messages. Support was added in version 2.x of The Bat! if my googling didn't mislead me.
Older The Bat! versions only support PGP Inline which is a non-standardized legacy method to send OpenPGP encrypted/signed messages, and that method is currently not officially implemented in GPGMail.

Hi Luke,
thanks a lot for your help. I am testing on my Mac running The Bats! v3.5 on Windows 8 with Parallels Desktop.
So I exported (both ASCII and Binary) my key with GPG Keychain access (public and private) and when I try to import (both ASCII and Binary) it in The Bat!, I got the following message :
What is the link between openPGP and S/MIME ?
My recipients got the same message when trying to import my key attached in an email.
Sorry for being so "idiot"...
Sébastien

Sebastien, was this ever solved? Maybe you should get in touch with the Bats! devs? As for the S/MIME question, just do a search on wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S/MIME
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIME
PGP/MIME is not the same as S/MIME and maybe the Bats! needs to differentiate that better. Sorry, nothing we can do to improve that from our side.
Best,
steve
P.S.: Oh and no worries about asking questions. That's the best way to learn and crypto can be confusing. :)

Hi Steve,
I moved forward about this point and the problem is The Bat! himself! Why ? Because the internal PGP is not compatible with Open PGP and finally with GPG!
And their support is very poor, no answer at all!
So I help my friend to install GPG on Windows, integrate it to The Bat! and now it works well!
Thanks again a lot for your help!
Sébastien
