Smartcard support

Hello GPGTools Team,

I recently bought a Feitian PKI Smartcard. I've self-signed a certificate on my Mac and then put it on the card, which worked just fine. However, I can't see any way to access this key from within GPGTools. I also don't see any option in GKA to use a key from a smartcard, it only seems to support locally saved keys?
Do I overlook something, or has this feature not been implemented yet? If not, do you plan to?

Thanks for your help and keep up the good work! :-)

Regards,
Alex

As a matter of fact we're just starting to support OpenPGP card (another user from our user list will look at it). Unfortunately, nobody from our team has such a card.
Just asking: do you know how to code? ;)

Unfortunately, no. Just a bit of Java and Shell, but nothing Mac-specific like Objective-C :-(
But still it is nice to see you're beginning to support the OpenPGP card. I think once the OpenGPG card works it shouldn't be that hard to add support for other cards.
As you certainly know, there is software like OpenSC (LGPL license; http://www.opensc-project.org/opensc/wiki/MacInstaller) available for the Mac, which should make communicating with different Smartcards /-readers not too hard, shouldn't it?

Yes, we're in contact with the OpenSC people. Hopefully smartcard support will be added this year ;)
