Hi Mark,
what system of OS X are you running? If you tell us that, it will be easier to get you started.

Hey Mark, you don't wanna update to Lion, no? GPGMail 2 (currently in alpha) is 10.7 only. We might do a backport to 10.6 but first we need to get GPGMail working on Mountain Lion.
GPGMail 1 does work on 10.6. But we don't support it actually since it won't receive any patches from our core-team.
Still it did and does work for many people, so we should get you setup as well.

Our quickstart covers GPGMail 2.0 but functionality for GPGMail 1 is of course similar. Does that help you out with your setup?
All the best :)

Hmmm -I am happy at 10.6.8 at the moment. Everything is working good and I am doing some important stuff and do not need hang ups. Yes I am using (version1.ob7 GPG keychain access). With Apple mail. I got to the point of encrypting a email but got lost after that. Yes if you can help me set it up and understand how it work it would be appreciatedqVersion 1.0b7 (1.0b7)

Well what are you having issues with? Decrypting mail does not work? Did you read the quickstart guide? Do you have a friend you can test your setup with?

I sent it another email address of mine. I am sorry I do not understand the process of encyrtion and un encryption. Public -private keya. Or to open an encrypted mail or whatever. I just go the software in and followed a few step and viola I could encrypt. But going to the encryption in the mail I send my other address I have to idea how to read it.

I received the test mail. It was signed but nit encrypted. To make sure you understand how to encrypt mail please thoroughly read the first steps tutorial. You've obviously created a key. You know how to sing. Please see if the tutorial can help you, to understand how to encrypt your mail. I will send you an encrypted mail. See if you can decrypt it.
Cheers, steve
