"decrypt" button in mail.app sometimes does not work
Environment:
gpgtools integrated with mail.app
OSX 10.6.8
GPGTools-20120318.dmg
If I start my computer up, open my mail app and decrypt a message, everything seems to work fine. If, however, I leave my computer on for a few days of use and then try to decrypt a message, the decrypt button in mail.app changes color as I tap it, but no box will pop up for me to enter my password and I cannot decrypt messages. So I have to restart my computer.
What steps will reproduce the problem? Please be as specific as possible.

Hey Josh,
since you are using 10.6: Do you have any chance of updating your system to 10.7? GPGMail 2.0 is currently under development. We have a rather stable version that is running on 10.7. Once it reaches final status, we need to work on 10.8 compatibility.
After that we might do a backport of GPGMail 2.0 to 10.6. But as you see, it is not a first priority currently.
So on 10.6 you are using GPGMail 1 which no longer will receive patches (except if any user would like to contribute). You still might want to try the latest nightly installer from here: https://nightly.gpgtools.org since it might contain some patches for MacGPG2 that could also be causing strange behavior on your system.
All the best,
steve

Apple wouldn't let me upgrade to 10.7 and it forced me to 10.8.1 so I'm out of luck for now.
What is the general time frame for 10.8.1? ( which is what I just upgraded to)
I know it's not much, but I just donated 10 Euro for now.

Josh, a 10.8 compatible first test version should be ready in a few weeks from now.
You can use the GPGServices as a workaround for now. We improved the GPGServices so that they now work in GPGMail via right-click. Not beautiful but works.
Here's how to activate the GPGServices: http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/faq/how-do-i-activate-gpgservices

No further user feedback. Closing.
