Sending keys to servers fails

Hello support

I've just successfully installed GPGTools on my MBP with Mountain Lion.

When a try to upload keys to servers I get this message: "Sending key failed. Send keys failed! Code = 0"

I looked at preferences (form access key menu) and found no server. At this point I modified it with "sks-keyservers.net" (found in a discussion), but the error raised again. Also looked in preferences pane from "system preferences" and there I found hkp://keys.gnupg.net instead, but if I go back to preferences in Access Key and modify the server, the problem does not disappear. This also happens if I close end open again Access Keys after changing preferences.

At the moment it is not a serious issue for me since I'd like to cypher documents at the moment (and this works !), but it could be useful to upload my public key on server.

Any suggestion ? May be I'm not luck and chosen servers with problems...

Thanks a lot

The keyservers are a fickle beast we often have problems with unfortunately.

Could you please try to use the keyserver referenced in the following link and report if it works?

    Hope that helps.

    Yes it works !

I also tried again with "hkp://keys.gnupg.net" and works well. May be there was a temporary lack on servers, but it seems also that preferences set in the homonymous pane in "system preferences" are not synchronized with preferences looked up from "Access Key" app.

    Anyway, this solve my issue
    thank you

Yeah, that's a known issue unfortunately.
We'll fix it in one of the coming releases.

    Glad your problems are solved.

I'll close this discussion but feel free to open a new one if you run into problems again.
