Using someone else's public key to encrypt message
As a newby, I'd be most grateful if someone could walk me through using someone else's public key to encrypt message - the public key provided is just in a text file. Thank you.

Jonathan,
first: let me suggest to install the nightly build of GPGTools, because we've recently made quite a few improvement that have not been released otherwise, yet: https://nightly.gpgtools.org
For the key import: Try dragging that txt file into GPG Keychain Access. If that doesn't work simply open the text file and copy paste all the content you see in the text file into GPG Keychain Access.
Next: Writing an encrypted mail. We've a walkthrough tutorial for this. So please see this: http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/how-to/first-steps-where-do-i-start-...
If you have further questions after reading that, feel free to ask.
All the best, steve
