.MacOSX Environments Ignored under Mountain Lion

For quite some time I have been using an alternate home directory for my GPG keyrings and configuring this with the environment.plist file under the .MacOSX directory in my user folder. This has always worked before, but Mountain Lion seems to be completely ignoring any environment variables set in this way. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks!

    Hi Steve,

Thanks! Yes, it does help in at least one way. I had a sneaking suspicion that something major had changed under Mountain Lion. This explains what's going on, but I think it's a louse choice on Apple's part. It works for packages files but apparently not for stand-alone binary files. I resorted to creating a symbolic link to "fudge" it, and this seems to work.

Glad this did indeed shed some light into the problem.
