Environment:

  • Software name and version: GPG Keychain Access Version 1.0b7 (1.0b7)
  • OS X version: 10.6.8
  • GPGTools Installer date: April, 26

Is there a way to share the same key between 2 computers? I have generated a key to use in the iMac and also want to use the same key on my Macbook. Please advise.

Hey KM, here's what you'd have to do:

    • Open GPG Keychain Access
    • Select your sec key you want to use
    • Export that key (make sure you tick the box "include sec key")
    • move that key e.g. to a USB-drive and than import the key on your second machine (again via GPG Keychain Access on the second machine)

    Does this help?

    All the best,
