Can't encrypt using pub key
Environment:
- Software name and version:GPG Keychain Access Version 1.0b7 (1.0b7)
- OS X version: (e.g. 10.7.4)
- GPGTools Installer date: 07-13-12
What steps will reproduce the problem? Please be as specific as possible.
- Highlight file I want to encrypt
- Right click -> Services -> OpenPGP: Encrypt File
- Desired Recipient not available in "Choose Recipients - GPGService" window
What do you expect to see? What do you see instead?
- I want to see the public key from two of my contacts (which shows up in GPG Keychain Access
- Instead only some of my contacts show up
Provide any additional information, link a screenshot and debug output if possible.
- Screenshot:
- Debug output from /Applications/Utilities/Console.app: ...
First aid For some reason the two persons I can't encrypt messages using their key, have no "sub" key. I have not figured out why or how I can fix this, nor if it causes the problem. Side note, the two persons who don't have a "sub" key was set up using PGP4win.
- Have you already tried running the latest nightly of the GPGTool Installer?

Hi all,
this is very strange. Two things to check before we dive deeper into this:
a) could you please install the latest GPGTools_Installer from our nightly download page: http://nightly.gpgtools.org/
b) if that does not help, please attach the pub key of the person, that does not show up in the GPGServices pop-up, in a reply to this discussion, so I can test this as well and see if I can reproduce the problem.
Hope this helps :)

YEY!
That is good news. And it was a rather simply fix. Glad we were able to resolve the issue that easy. :)
All the best,
steve
