Hey,

I am using it to encrypt my mails.
Now I have a user, who has no email in his key.
How can I use this key now to encrypt the mail?

Thank you!

    Hey Simon,

not sure I completely understand your use case, but it sounds like you simply want to write an encrypted mail to a friend. If that friend has a key but no mail address associated, there is no way at all, to send him an encrypted mail.

He'd have to associate at least one mail address for mail encryption to work. Then upload his edited key to the key servers.

    Does this answer your question?

    All the best,

    Hi Simon,

Steve is right, this was not possible with GPGMail until just recently.
There is a way now though, which was just added to the nightly build.

Please install the GPGMail nightly from http://nightly.gpgtools.org.

After that open Terminal.app and type the following. Press enter when done:

defaults write org.gpgtools.common PublicKeyUserMap -dict-add email fingerprint

Replace email with your friend's email which is not included in the public key and the fingerprint with your friend's key's fingerprint.

    Hope that helps
