Help with public keys!
How would I go about sending someone a encrypted message if they provide me their public key? Their public key on their blog, but I have no idea how to import that and use that to send them a encrypted message back on their blog seeing how I can't use my email to contact them.

Hi Lee00,
You can copy the key on their webpage (if it is in clear text) and paste it into GPG Keychain Access.
Remember to copy everything, including the ---BEGIN and ---END PGP..
-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
and everything in between
-----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
Even easier, you can use GPG Services, select the key text and rightclick->services->import key.
Some info about GPGservices is found on http://www.gpgtools.org/gpgservices/index.html
You will probably see their e-mail address in your keychain after you import it. (hopefully :)
If not, it might be possible to encrypt a message on their blog. For this too you can use gpgservices (rightclick->services->encrypt).
Hope this helps,
Paul Morten

Paul,
Thanks for the help! I was able to import their public key, but I'm still
quite lost as to how to encrypt a message and then post the encryption on
their blog...
When I go to text edit, highlight, and right click the message I want to
encrypt, there's no option for the encryption under services.

Hi Adrienne,
You have to enable GPGServices, for some reason its not enabled by default.
You do that by opening system prefrences, go into Keyboard settings and enable the services.
Check out this screenshot http://www.gpgtools.org/gpgservices/images/prefs.png

Paul,
I have them all enabled but there's still no service options when I
highlight the text. I've restarted my laptop as well, but no change.

Try downloading the newest nightly build of GPGServices from http://nightly.gpgtools.org/ (GPGServices-trunk.dmg) - there might be some newly fixed bugs.
If that doesn't help, hopefully some of the developers/support staff here can help you. (they will probably read this when they have the time)

Adrienne, there are two sections for GPGTools' services in Keyboard Preferences > Services, one under the Files & Folders heading and one under Text. Please check to see that both sets are enabled as you would like.
