I came here for the same question. I must say that your update popup is actually really confusing. It mentions 2022.2 as well as GPP Mail 7, and it's not clear at all which is which. Same confusion where it states:

GPG Mail 7.0 (macOS Ventura only)
New: Adds compatibility for macOS Ventura [#1125]

Now is it Ventura only or does adds compatibility for Ventura?!? That self-contradictory IMO.

I suggest to improve this.

On gpgtools.org you see the general compatibility info: 10.15 to 13.x.

On the release notes page it states that GPG Mail 7.0 will only be installed on Ventura.

Maybe one info is missing there: On versions 10.15.x to 13.x the appropriate version of GPG Mail will be installed.

At least that is my guess.

    I hope this helps.

That is the correct assumption. Currently GPG Mail 7 runs on macOS Ventura only. GPG Suite 2022.2 however runs on macOS 10.15 - 13.x.
