Could you please open
System Settings > Appearance

andHighlight colour
on both macs. Are they using the same values?Best,
Steve

Hi Steve
Very strange….
The MBP was set to accent - grey & highlight graphite, the icons were showing blue a new email, the IMAC was also set to the same but the icons were all in grey…i changed accent to blue on the IMAC and that fixed it in a new mail…strange that its grey in the MBP but shows as blue?
Thanks for the help
Ian

Hi Ian,
thanks for the followup. I agree this is unexpected and inconsistent behavior.
When reading your initial report I tried this on an intel MacBook Pro and noticed that for graphite accent color, the button color of the encrypt and sign buttons would not change.
I have a theory that since graphite as accent color is too closed to the greyed out or inactive button state and hard to view in some occasions, Apple forces the default accent color of blue. Try selecting ping or orange and your icon color for encrypt and sign should follow that setting.
Can you confirm that?
Kind regards,
Steve

This would be expected behavior and is looking correct.
