Too Many Passphrase Queries
Please reference this thread, which has been closed: http://support.gpgtools.org/discussions/everything/1167-too-many-pa...
I'm getting dozens of requests to enter my passphrase, even when not opening encrypted messages. Sometimes, mail will even be in the background and they'll pop up over the active application. I understand why this might happen if I'm actively browsing around in Mail.app and select an encrypted message, but it just pops up all on its own. The other thread mentioned that updating a setting might help, but I don't see that setting in my GPGmail preferences. Am I missing something here? Is there any information that would be helpful in troubleshooting this?
Thanks,
FW

I think I fixed it. Check this out:

Thanks, but that didn't seem to do it for me. There were no problems found when attempting to repair the Keychain, and I didn't see anything out of place in the OS X keychains. However, I never tried storing the passphrase in the OS X keychain. I understand that the keychain is encrypted, but part of the security in my application comes from typing the passphrase every time I send or receive an email.
I'm running GPGMail 2.0a30 with Mail.app Version 5.2 (1257) on Mac OS X 10.7.3 (11D2001) on a 13" MBP, Late 2011.

Hey Fred,
sorry you are having trouble finding the correct settings.
two things:
1) Install the latest GPGTools Installer from our nightly page: http://nightly.gpgtools.org/
2) read this article, that explains how to not store your passphrase, as well as how to delete one if it is already stored in the mac keychain.
http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/faq/can-i-store-my-passphrase-so-i-d...
Let us know if that worked.
All the best :)
