Folder where key rings are stored
I need to know the folder where GPGTools stores my public and
secret key rings. When I installed, I imported my old key rings,
but the last-modified dates show these files have not been changed,
even though I have deleted a couple of keys. A Spotlight search for
anything with "GPG" or the names of the key rings turns up only
what I started with: key rings that haven't been modified in
years.
Thanks

Hi Ken, thank you for your feedback. The keys are stored in a hidden directory of your home directory. In Finder press cmd+shift+g and paste this "~/.gnupg".
Does this help? Best regards, Alex

Thank you, Alex. I found them easily. Let me ask a follow-up: do the "pubring" and "secring" and their backup files follow the same internal format as their counterparts in the traditional Phil Zimmermann-style implementations? Thanks, Ken

They are definitely compatible, not sure if they are internally exactly the same though.
