DMG package download fail (web)
Github.com is not responding. And I was wondering why you offer to download the 2011 version of the package on the download page, when there is a newer version? (2012)

Hi aime,
could you specify which downloads you're referring to?
GPGTools installer, GPGMail, GPG Keychain Access?
2 Posted by aime on 16 Mar, 2012 03:10 PM
Any from github.com don't work, but I guess you can't do anything about that. But as for the versions question, the GPGTools installer offered on its download page is not the latest version, if I refer to this page https://github.com/GPGTools/GPGTools/downloads
The one offered on your webiste is a 2011 version, and the latest version on your GitHub page is 2012

Oh and would you happen to have a mirror to the latest or safest version to use?
Thanks, appreciate it
Support Staff 4 Posted by Luke Le on 16 Mar, 2012 03:14 PM
The one on the GitHub page is one of the nightlies.
At the moment the best version to use is the one from http://nightly.gpgtools.org since it includes the newest version of all our software.
The discrepancy is based on the fact that at the moment w're working full time on the GPGMail 2.0 for Lion stable release.
Since we don't have a lot of resources, we're only 5 people, some of the content is not properly up to date at the moment.
This will change with the GPGMail release, with which we will also launch a new website.

This one to be specific:

Ok thank you very much. I'm having some issues with GPG, I got the mail and keychain to fully work, but no preference pane or services have appeared. I'm running Leopard 10.5.8
Do you have an idea of what I could do? Or redirect me to somewhere?

P.S. the package you send me gives me this error
"Install failed
the following installs tep failed: run postinstall script for GPGMail-105"
Support Staff 8 Posted by Luke Le on 16 Mar, 2012 03:27 PM
Oh, Leopard. Yeah, that's a problem.
We can't actively test on Leopard since no one of our devs runs it anymore.
GPGServices is not available on Leopard at all.
Preference Pane i guess should be there, but doesn't give you many options at the moment, sorry :(
GPGTools works great from > 10.5. If we find additional developers we might consider getting the tools working better on 10.5 as well.

I see I see, ok well thanks. I guess I have to update
10 Posted by Alex on 16 Mar, 2012 04:02 PM
But the nightly installer should work on 10.5. Could you provide us the installer log please? See the installer section at http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/faq/how-can-i-generate-debugging-inf...

I'm interested in this log in particular for the installer linked at http://www.gpgtools.org/installer/index.html (Version 2012-03-17).

Found a solution. Could you please test the GPGTools_Installer-trunk.dmg file from http://nightly.gpgtools.org/ ?

Ok, working on my 10.5 and 10.6 VMs. New release is uploading and will be published within the next minutes. Thanks for the feedback.
