Hello there,

thank you for submitting your project to our EOS Directory of Open Source projects.

However, in order to be able to assess the GPG Tools Installer and its business use, we would ask that you provide us with the name of someone who can answer questions about the project.

Thanks!

Alexandra

    Dear Steve,

thanks for getting back to me.

As much as I like GPGTools ( I am a Mac user myself), I am afraid the project does not fulfill our criteria concerning enterprise readiness. As far as I can see there is no professional support available. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

However, since the project has a lot of potential we might put it on our watchlist, which is still under development. Would that be OK with you?

    Cheers
    Alexandra

    Hey Alexandra,

we don't want to force our way into this database. We just saw an article about it and were curious to try it out. If our project does not fulfill your criteria we have no problem not appearing in this database. The thought process was simply that the tool we provide are, of course, very interesting for every business out there.

As for the professional support request: We have many way of offering support. You didn't mention what the criteria is to make that support "professional". Imo, we have a much better support than many "Pro" companies where you have to wait several days for a reply and often enough it is hard to get in touch with the people who actually develop the software so you don't get a lot of good answers but mostly automated text blocks.

The platform we use right now, is our support platform. It is what many pro companies use, as well:
    Agile Bits (http://support.agilebits.com/)
    Sparrow (https://sparrowmail.tenderapp.com/)
just to name two very popular examples.

Have a look at the customer requests. You'll find that we reply within a few hours in 90% of all requests.

Maybe you can elaborate a bit more what your criteria for "professional support" is and then we can figure if we fulfill that.

Have a nice weekend and all the best,
    steve :)
