First off, I am a total newbie with this whole sending encrypted
email thing and I can't seem to figure it out. I open Mac Mail 5.1
and I open a new email. I want to send an email to a friend and I
already have his public key in my keyring on GPG keychain access.
Do I just type in the friends email address, make sure the lock
button is locked, and then send? Or do I have to attach my exported
public key? How will they be able to decrypt my original email?
When I highlight and right click on the text of the email, I select
"open pgp:encrypt". It then shows a dialogue box that asks for the
recipients. I choose the public key of my friend under use and then
hit OK. Then I get the "DUH" noise from the Mac that means I did
something wrong.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
