Can't generate new GPG key (No agent running) Code = 77

Which of our tools is giving you problems? gpg suit

Attach a screenshot of the version info for all installed components (how to: https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/faq/where-can-i-find-version-info...): Please see attached

Describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible. I keep getting following error when generating new key:
Generate new key failed! (No agent running)
Code = 77
Error text:
gpg: can't connect to the agent: IPC connect call failed
gpg: agent_genkey failed: No agent running
gpg: key generation failed: No agent running

What did you expect instead generate key

Describe steps leading to the problem. create key

Are you using any other Mail.app plugins? no

   Fixed by deleting everything in ~/.gnupg then reinstalled gpg suit.

   Hi Scott,

   welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

   Do you remember which version of GPG Suite you were running while encountering the problem?

   Did you have any existing secret keys in use already? Deleting the .gnupg folder is somewhat the last resort and a backup should always be created first.
