welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

Can you share the key server address you are using from GPG Keychain > Preferences > Key Server

Are you using any Firewall software on your mac or is your company behind a firewall?

All the best,
Steve

Stevetag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/476745022019-09-30T18:06:35Z2019-09-30T18:06:36ZGPG Keychain: unable to communicate with server (using old sks key servers, switching to hagrid keys.openpgp.org solved the problem)

Thanks for your fast reply!

It was a good hint ... I was still using this keyserver: hkps://hkps.pool.sks-keyservers.net

Now I switched to hkps://keys.openpgp.org and it all works fine right now.

Dominic Hahntag:gpgtools.tenderapp.com,2011-11-04:Comment/476745022019-09-30T21:20:53Z2019-09-30T21:20:53ZGPG Keychain: unable to communicate with server (using old sks key servers, switching to hagrid keys.openpgp.org solved the problem)

Glad this is solved for you and to hear the new key server is working reliable.
