After installation of gig-suite via homebrew starting the Mail app results in window manager not being able to open a window control. After some time the Mail.app process terminates.

Expected
Mail should open and work as expected

Nothing really useful in the console log

    Hi Marco,

we are very sorry for your bad experience.
Unfortunately the behavior your are observing is caused by a bug in macOS Mail on Mojave. We have filed the bug with Apple but it is unclear how long it will take them to resolve the issue.

Our latest GPG Suite however includes a workaround if you install it directly from the website: https://gpgtools.org

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

In case other people get stuck in this situation. Because a container file gets currupted, you should let them know to delete the conatiner directory for rebuild before trying to restart Mail

    Hi Marco,

    thanks for the feedback.

Did the re-install not solve the problem for you? Or did you run into further trouble?

    Best,
    Steve
