GPGMail: plugin complains "Unable to encrypt message" too often
hi,
i reported this problem before and I’m sorry that I have to tell you that it "somehow" resurfaced.
when I’m writing a mail to somebody from which I have no PGP key the plugin pops up an alert saying "Unable to encrypt message - An error occurred while trying to encrypt your message. Verify that you have valid certificates in your keychain for all of the recipients."
it pops that alert up about every minute, no matter how often I click it away (with "OK")
Expected
it should not show the alert in the first place since and it should respect my "OK"
Additional info
i’m using a nightly from 2 days ago and i have restarted my mac in the meantime. this behaviour isn’t really predictable: after me reporting it it had gone away after re-installing the ("old") plugin. then with the new nightly which tried to fix it it still didn’t resurface. now, after a system restart it does…

an addition: I have NOT selected in preferences that the plugin should encrypt drafts, should encrypt new messages by default or should sign new messages by default. the version is 2.7 (2751fe7), build 1205n

Hey Thomas,
sorry you are running into this issue. Could you check for updates? GPG Suite 2017.1b3 has just been released, and we'd be curious to learn, if the issue persists using that build.
Kindly,
steve

looks indeed good! haven’t restated my mac (and hopefully won’t anytime soon) but so far everthing works nicely.
i read the release notes and am impressed/horrified but what you achieved/had to go through. i passingly knew already that apple mail makes it rather difficult to develop against. thanks for putting up against this!

Hey Thomas,
thanks a lot for your kind words and condolences - they are highly appreciated. I myself admire our GPGMail dev for keeping his composure all the time (: Patience is strong with that one.
Glad, this is solved for you. I'm closing this discussion. Should you need further assistance or have questions you can re-open this discussion here or open a new one any time.
Best, steve
