Mac Mail - real problem on certain emails with GPG

GPG Mail

I'm having an occasional problem with GPG when using Mac Mail. Occasionally, I will check sent messages and see something along the following lines (see attached). I'm still checking whether or not the received gets the email as I see it, but I really need to know whether or not this is stable, or I'll have to remove it.

Is anyone out here finding a similar problem, and if so, do you know of any workarounds or solutions? Any help very gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam

    Hi Adam,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.

This is a known problem for signed messages often sent with attachment. Those messages do arrive fine for the recipient. They show in this broken formatting in the sent folder though.

You are on macOS 10.11. Do you have plans to update to 10.13? It would be interesting to learn if this then persists for you.

We have a ticket for this problem. I connected this discussion with the existing ticket. That means, should this discussion get closed, it will be re-opened as soon as the ticket is closed. That way you'll stay in the loop and get notified as soon as we have news. Feel free to open a new discussions should you run into further problems or need assistance.

    Best,

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for getting back. I haven’t yet upgraded to OS 10.13 but will likely do so at some point soon. Nonetheless, I’ve had to disable GPG for now, as going through emails that have this broken formatting is a nightmare - I need them as they were.

No matter, I’ll get it up and running again once I migrate and can focus on this a bit more.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Ok sounds reasonable. It would be appreciated if you could let us know how things go after updating to macOS 10.13.

    Have a great week,
    steve
