Not prompting for passphrase before generating keys
Which of our tools is giving you problems? GPG Keychain
Attach a screenshot of the version info for all installed components (how to: https://gpgtools.tenderapp.com/kb/faq/where-can-i-find-version-info...):
Describe your problem. Add as much detail as possible. When I create a new key pair, I do not receive any prompts to create a passphrase before I generate the key.
As a result, when I attempt to export the key pair, I get the prompt to enter a passphrase but since i did not get to create one, I cannot enter anything that works.
Please help!
What did you expect instead I expected to get a prompt to create a passphrase
Describe steps leading to the problem.
Are you using any other Mail.app plugins? no

Hi Martin,
this might be a bit of confusing UI. Password and Passphrase are used here interchangeably. In your screenshot there are two fields visible for the password/passphrase. Whatever you enter there is the passphrase/password for your key, which you have to enter later, if you receive a PGP message/file to decrypt or want to sign your message/file with PGP.
Hope that helps.
