Hello, the Suite installed easily on my macbook. The problem is that the GPG plug-in works only with Apple Mail. My regular email is through gmail and that works fine as the default Apple email. Apple email cannot/will not recognise protonmail which is GPG. That email (Proton) i what I wish to use. How do I get around the plug in issue and use GPG with proton? Thanks.

I don't think ProtonMail supports "external" GPG keys. Also, the developers of GPGTools only support Apple Mail at this point. I am sure they will chime in if there is more info.

    Hi Jeff,

welcome to the GPGTools support platform.

We have not yet tested the Protonmail bridge. Just wanted to do that and it seems using the bridge is reserved for paying users.

From what we understand, the bridge does all the crypto for the protonmail address. So you do not have to create an OpenPGP key for the protonmail address in GPG Keychain. For any questions regarding the protonmail setup with Mail.app we suggest to get in touch with the protonmail support here: https://protonmail.com/support/

    Kind regards,
    steve
