I received strange errors in my clients after the upgrade because the secret keys had failed to be migrated during the upgrade.
Can you see your secret keys in GPG Keychain?
If you can't, It's been suggested that you can re-import them from ~/.gnupu/secring.gpg.

Hi ctwardy,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
With GPG Suite 2017.1 we have upgraded our version of GnuPG (MacGPG2) from GnuPG 2.0 to GnuPG 2.2.
The error message you are reporting indicates that there kay have been a problem migrating your secret key.
Please visit the following KB-article and let me know if that brings you back to working state.
All the best,
steve

That looks relevant! I've run the command, saw some imports, and will presume it solved. Thank you!

Have you tried sending yourself an encrypted and signed test message? Are you able to sign and decrypt as expected?
