SHA256 incorrect too
I had the same problem as the earlier guy... but I noticed when I downloaded the image a 2nd time, I had a different file name! The 1st download was GPG_Suite-2016.10_v2.dmg, while the second download was GPG_Suite-2017.1b2.dmg. Perhaps there is an old version on a machine in the rotation?

Hey John,
welcome to the GPGTools support platform. Sorry you are having problems using GPG Suite.
Currently there is
For macOS 10.12 you need the beta.
When checking checksums, you need to make sure you are checking the right checksum for the correct download.
Let me know if this answered your question.
All the best,

Thanks Steve. The problem is from the front page (https://gpgtools.org/) the download button will download 2017.1 beta. Click to the GPGSuite page (https://gpgtools.org/gpgsuite.html) and the download button will download 2016.10 stable. I probably clicked the button on the GPGSuite page, got 2016, failed to validate it, went back to the front page to try again, and got the 2017 beta which, of course, validated.
It just seems a wee bit inconsistent, but if the intent is to offer the beta on the front page, and the stable on the GPGSuite page, well, my bad. Thanks again.

John, this is indeed not perfect. But we had the choice of leaving all macOS 10.12 users in the dark and not displaying the thing most of our users are looking for at the moment (GPG Suite which will work in macOS 10.12) out of sight. With the drawback that we still wanted to offer the stable release for users who rely on the "stable" tag and are still running a previous OS.
We are not too happy about this as well. But we thought it is the best we can do to satisfy the majority of our users.
As soon as GPG Suite for 10.12 hits stable things will be nice and clean again.
