Is there a plan to update GPG from 2.0 to 2.1? I am having trouble running 2.1 at the same time as the 2.0 that is bundled with GPGTools.

    Hi Tommy,

we'll eventually switch to 2.1 but this is not a plan for the near future, since we have a lot of other stuff on our plate.

At the moment GPG Suite is not ready for usage with gpg 2.1.x. You will have to rely on the terminal.

    All the best,

I too would welcome support for 2.1 support. Apple Mail just doesn't feel the same with a terminal involved. ;-)

    Hi Tommy and TA,

we have a first GPG Suite test build which integrates gpg 2.1. Here is the signature file for that release.

It would be great if you could test this build and let us know if run into any trouble. Please note, that downgrading to the current beta release will require additional steps in case new keys were created using this test build. Depending on the test results, gpg 2.1 may soon land in the beta branch.

    All the best,

gpg 2.1 is now included in our GPG Suite nightly build. That page also has sig and SHA256 to verify the download.

    All the best,

Disclaimer: This is a development version which has not been thoroughly tested yet - bugs or crashes are to be expected. Thanks for helping us test.
