How about folders or labels in GPG Key Chain for managing keys?
Managing keys would be easier if they could be grouped into folders, alternatively be assigned customizable labels. Seeing only one folder/group at a time makes it much easier to keep track of what keys I have or not have and for what purposes.
A practical current case: a certain group I am a member of does not want to use key servers for privacy reasons. We send out new or updated keys manually. It would be so much better if we could select a group of keys and export them all to a file and send that file out.
I envisage that this grouping would "only" be a display feature, i.e not necessarily reflected in the physical storage in ~/.gnupg/, because if the structure of .gnupg/ would be changed then that might perhaps cause compatibility problems. The grouping into folders/labels would thus be metadata.
I haven't seen this feature request been discussed earlier, so I'd like to hear your thoughts about it, and how many others would appreciate such a feature.

HI Harald,
thank you for your suggestion!
We already have a feature request to add tags or comments to keys for better management and I've added your comments and vote to it. The number of votes is one factor that helps us to determine what feature to add next.
Unfortunately there's no workaround for this problem at the time being. We're very sorry for that. This discussion will be updated however, when the requested feature is available.
Have a nice day,
steve
