I would like to define a default encryption behavior for each of the contacts I email. For each contact, I see 5 possibilities:

1) Always encrypt with PGP
2) Always encrypt with S/MIME
3) Always sign with PGP
4) Always sign with S/MIME
5) None

Another preference should be "Always encrypt when replying to encrypted emails".

    Hi Mrak,

thanks for taking the time to get in touch with this suggestion.

We already have an open feature request to add a stric encryption mode enforcing encrryption on all outgoing messages. I would consider your suggestion to force encryption on all replies to encrypted messages a lighter form of that "strict encryption mode".

We also have an open feature request to allow adding per recipient rules for encryption settings.

I've added your comments and vote to both. The number of votes is one factor that helps us to determine what feature to add next.

Unfortunately there's no workaround for this problem at the time being. We're very sorry for that. This discussion will be updated however, when the requested feature is available.

    Have a nice day,
    Steve
