A QR-code is on the agenda but currently a low priority, since a ton of other stuff is higher in the list.

Sorry I missed that! When I clicked the Support GPGTools button the pop-up didn't have that option!

I am a huge fan of fewer moving parts so I would opt to converge the donation activity to that landing page.
Also find a way to track your BTC donations. I just sent you 0.1 BTC as a small test donation.
Take a look at our sister project https://doabitofgood.com as a possible way to collect and acknowledge crypto-currency donations. We have a "BIT4BIT" matching donor funds in various crypto currencies that could be used to help boost the raise.

Yes, thanks for all your input. With the upcoming payment model for GPGMail, we have to see where all this goes. So for now changes to the donation page are very unlikely.
